Senior IT Administrator / Senior System Engineer (m/w/d) , 80 - 100%

The team consists of 11 international colleagues, who are responsible for the 120 employees in Switzerland, the 150 employees in Germany as well as the 230 employees in our 23 international offices.

As Senior IT Administrator you will oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless system performance and security. The role involves managing operating systems and providing technical support to employees. You will lead IT projects, enhance cybersecurity measures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT operations with business objectives. This position is ideal for a proactive professional with a passion for technology and problem-solving.
 

Your key responsibilities

  • IT Infrastructure Management
    • Design, implement and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and cloud environments
    • Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability
  • System Administration
    • Manage and maintain operating systems, software and hardware
    • Oversee the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of IT equipment
  • Security and Compliance
    • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to safeguard data and systems
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
  • User Support
    • Provide technical support to employees and resolve IT issues in a timely manner
    • Conduct training sessions to improve employee technical skills and awareness
  • Project Management
    • Lead IT projects, including upgrades, migrations and system integrations
       

Your profile

  • Computer scientist with a federal certificate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, engineering or a related field
  • Passion for computer and network hardware components
  • In-depth know-how and practical experience with Microsoft client and server products
  • Experienced in network (TCP/IP, Firewall, DNS)
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems
  • Background in server maintenance
  • Very good German and English skills (oral and written)
