The team consists of 5 local and 5 international colleagues, who are responsible for the 100 employees in Switzerland, as well as the 400 employees in our 14 international offices.
This position requires a lot of initiative and communication and offers plenty of creative freedom regarding the tasks. For this reason, we look forward to an applicant of senior level who can support the Corporate IT Manager.
Your tasks
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and collaborate on exciting local and international IT projects. This could involve coordinating with other administrators, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
- Planning and Implementation: Participate in the planning and implementation of new IT initiatives. This includes understanding business needs, proposing suitable IT solutions, and overseeing their deployment.
- IT Security: Conduct periodic IT security tests to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the company’s data and IT infrastructure are secure. This also involves staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and implementing necessary measures to mitigate them.
- Network Administration: Monitor and administer the company’s networks to ensure they are running optimally. This includes troubleshooting network issues, optimizing network performance, and ensuring network security.
- System Management: Manage the central server systems to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively. This includes monitoring system performance, performing regular maintenance, and troubleshooting system issues.
- Backup Management: Ensure and control backups of all critical data and systems. This involves creating backup policies, scheduling regular backups, and verifying the integrity of the backups.
- Microsoft Core Services and Other Systems: Provide support for Microsoft core services as well as other systems and applications used within the company. This includes installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these services and systems.
- Team Support: Perform supportive activities within the IT team, such as providing 2nd level support. This includes assisting other team members with complex issues and helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
Your profile
- Computer scientist with a federal certificate, Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or comparable work experience
- Passion for computer and network hardware components
- In-depth know-how and practical experience with Microsoft client and server products
- Experienced in network (TCP/IP, Firewall, DNS)
- Background in server maintenance
- Team player with good communications skills
- Very good German and English skills (oral and written)
