Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to drive transformation in the automotive industry eco-system. You will be responsible for understanding customer pain points in sheet metal forming and assembly manufacturing processes, positioning AutoForm’s software as the solution to their challenges, and driving account success through collaboration and strategic engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients in the automotive industry, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Identify client needs, production challenges, and engineering goals to offer tailored AutoForm solutions.
- Lead product presentations, software demos, and discussions on how AutoForm enhances efficiency in formability analysis, die design, stamping and assembly simulations.
- Manage the sales process from prospecting and proposals to contract negotiation, closing, and renewals.
- Collaborate with internal technical experts to provide training, technical support, and successful software implementations for clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional modules, licenses, and services.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to inform client conversations and sales strategies.
- Ensure accurate tracking of interactions and opportunities within the CRM system (e.g., Zoho).
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or customer success within the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to discuss both technical and business-related topics.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts while meeting revenue targets and deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM systems for managing opportunities and performance.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based software models.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to translate technical needs into software solutions.
- Familiarity with CAE software (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA, Abaqus).
